Printing a Spreadsheet (Ctrl + P) –
It is used to print spreadsheet text matter in a printed page. In order to print a sheet you have a number of interactive options available.
For printing a portion of the spreadsheet, do the following:
1)) Select the range of data that you want to print.
2)) Go to File menu> click print.
Note- In the print dialog in the General
tab page selects the contents to be printed:
All Sheets- All sheets will be printed.
Selected sheets- Only the selected sheets will be
printed.
Selected cells- All selected cells will be printed.
All Pages- Print all resulting pages.
Pages- Enter the pages to be printed. The pages will also be numbered from the first sheet onwards.
Note- If under format- Print ranges you have defined one or more print ranges, only the contents of these print ranges will be printed.
3. Click on Ok Button.
Note: If a spreadsheet has a defined print area, Sheet prints only that area.
Saving Spreadsheet –
You can save the Calc spreadsheet by using the steps given below:
- Go to file menu--> Select Save or press Ctrl + S key or Click on save button from the standard toolbar.
- If you are saving the file for the first time, the save as dialog box will appear.
- You have to enter the name of the file and location where you want to save. Click on the Save button.
Saving a spreadsheet on other location-
You can use the Save as commands to
save the data of the spreadsheet file to a different location or Type format or
different file Name.
Click the file menu>>Save As>>Type a name for the Calc file, select
file type and select location where you to save; Click Save button.
Opening a closing –
Opening an Existing Calc Spreadsheet (Ctrl + O).
You can open existing Calc spreadsheet already created earlier.
Steps for opening an Existing Calc spreadsheet:
- Click on file menu--> Select open or press (Ctrl +O) OR
- Click the open icon on the Standard toolbar.
- A dialog box will appear on your screen, you can select the desired spreadsheet file you want to open & Click on open button.
- Opening CSV files- CSV (Comma Separated Value) files are text file. You can open the CSV files by choosing file> Open. You have to locate the CSV files (.csv extension) you want to open.
Closing Calc Spreadsheet
Two Command
Close and exit are similar, yet have an important distinction. Close option
closes the active spreadsheet, but leaves the Calc application and other
spreadsheet files open. Just click on X button on the right side of the tittle
bar or go to the file menu and choose Exit. Before closing any spreadsheet,
make sure that it should be saved properly.
