E-commerce

The term e commerce means Electronic Commerce, refers to a business model that allows companies and individuals to buy and sell goods and services over the internet with the help of electronics devices like computer, smartphone, tablet and other smart devices.

There are 4 traditional types of e commerce. These are-

  1. B2B (Business to Business)
  2. B2C (Business to Consumer)
  3. C2B (Consumer to Business)
  4. C2C (Consumer to Consumer)
  5. B2A (Business to Administration)
  6. C2A (Consumer to Administration)

B2B (Business to Business)-

B2B is a kind of e commerce in which companies doing business with each other. In which manufacturer selling the product to wholesalers and wholesalers selling to retailers. b2b ecommerce examples are Dropbox, General Electric, Xerox, WeWork etc.

B2C (Business to Consumer)-

B2C is a kind of e commerce in which companies selling products to the general public through online e commerce software applications, without needing any human interaction. b2c ecommerce examples are Amazon.com, Flipkart.com, Myntra etc.

C2B (Consumer to Business)-

The c2b model provides the end users with an opportunity to sell their product/services to companies. In this model the consumer would post a project with a set budget online, any individual or companies bid on the project. The consumer reviews the bids and selects the suitable company according to his requirement.

C2C (Consumer to Consumer)-

C2C is a kind of e commerce in which individuals can buy and sell their goods and services by using online platform. c2c ecommerce example are olx, eBay and Quickr  etc.
